This picture of a group of affluent Lebanese young people driving through dahiyeh on the first day of ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has been selected at the 50th annual World Press Photo Contest as World Press Photo of the Year 2006.

Stark social, economical and cultural contrasts. Sport cars and bombed buildings. Nice scantily-clad chicks and hot guys. Death and life. Lebanon in a nutshell.
