Center-left wins Italian election

The official results of Italy's general election give to the center-left coalition a broad majority in the Camera dei Deputati (lower house) with 348 seats against 281 and a very slim majority in the Senato della Repubblica (upper house) with 158 seats against 156.

Comunisti Italiani 2.3% (16 seats)

UDEUR 1.4% (10 seats)





Südtiroler Volkspartei 0.5% (4 seats)




Other minor left-wing groups: 1.6% (1 seat)

Total L'Unione: 19,002,598 votes (49.8%) (341 seats + 7 seats from expatriate nationals)




Forza Italia 23.7% (137 seats)






Alleanza Nazionale 12.3% (71 seats)






UDC 6.8% (39 seats)






Lega Nord-MPA 4.6% (29 seats)






DC-NPS 0.7% (4 seats)






Alternativa Sociale 0.7% (0 seats)




Other minor right-wing groups: 0.9% (0 seats)

Total Casa delle Libertà: 18,977,843 votes (49.7%) (277 seats + 4 seats from expatriate nationals)

Others: 0.5% (0 seats)

Plus one independent MP elected among expatriate nationals.

Total: 100.0% (630 seats)

Polls turnout: 83.6%
